Churchdown Horticultural Society has been a going concern since 1950 and every year, without fail, we have staged an Annual Show in August.

During the year we have a series of free meetings in February, March, May, July, September and October with guest speakers covering a wide and interesting range of gardening and associated topics, followed by tea and biscuits, question time and a raffle. The meetings are held on the first Thursday in these months, in the main hall, at Churchdown Community Centre, Parton Road, GL3 2JH. See Map. We gather from 7.15pm start the meetings by 7.45pm and a pleasant and relaxing evening is enjoyed by all.

In April we have a Friday social evening with a “Bring and Share” supper and some form of entertainment such as a quiz or live music.

Then in mid-June we have our Members’ Rose & Sweet Pea Show followed by a cheese salad supper.

Our year concludes with our A.G.M. in November which is again followed by a ploughman’s supper.

Churchdown Horticultural Society is affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), Gloucestershire Federation of Gardening Societies (GFGS) and Churchdown Community Association (CCA).
