Churchdown Gardening ClubView/Download our 2023 programme Churchdown Gardening Club (Previously Churchdown Horticultural Society) has been a going concern since the 1950's. During the year we have a series of free meetings in January, February, March, May, June, July, August, September and October with guest speakers covering a wide and interesting range
of gardening and associated topics, followed by tea and biscuits, question time and a raffle. The meetings are held on the third Thursday in these months, in the 'Green Room',
at Churchdown Community Centre, Parton Road, GL3 2JH. See Map. We gather from 7.15pm start the meetings at 7.30pm and a pleasant and relaxing evening is enjoyed by all. In April we have a Friday social evening with a “Bring and Share” supper and some form of entertainment such as a quiz or live music. Our year concludes with our A.G.M. in November which is followed by a ploughman’s supper.Churchdown Gardening Club is affiliated to the Gloucestershire Federation of Gardening Societies (GFGS). All this for just £2 per meeting. Where else could you have an entertaining and informative night out with like-minded people, and tea and biscuits for that price?!
