Gardening Events in 2022
Following the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and because of the uncertain times we may still find ourselves living in before travelling please confirm with the Organiser or Club/Society that the Event is actually taking place.

Beautiful open gardens, church flower displays, teas and homemade cakes, champagne bar, ice creams, barbecue (Saturday), hog roast (Sunday). Also plant sales, nature reserve, children’s quiz trail, classic cars, glassware, preserves, tombola, raffle and more! Entry £5 (U16 free) covers all gardens on both days - Dogs on leads welcome - Free parking.

A Celebration of Contemporary Art in a Beautiful English Garden
The Old Rectory
Church Road, Quenington, Cirencester

Set up by art collectors, Lucy and David Abel Smith, the first Fresh Air Sculpture was held in the Quenington Old Rectory gardens in 1992. Acclaim for the show’s originality and innovative mixture of traditional, modern and cutting-edge outdoor sculpture has grown year by year, and Fresh Air Sculpture is now an established and much anticipated fixture in the art events calendar.
Fresh Air Sculpture became a charitable trust, under Quenington Sculpture Trust, in 1997.

Saturday 11th & Sunday 12th June
Clifton & Hotwells Open Gardens

Visitors will have access to 22 communal gardens & squares which are mostly private, with a variety of refreshments and entertainment. There are a mixture of formal gardens, woodland & wild gardens with 2 new gardens Clifton Hill House & Clifton Meadow. There will be talks, conducted tours, a tree trail, and wild! singing by The Gert Lush Choir & Tobacco Factory Singers.

Box Village Open Gardens
Box, Gloucestershire

Box village is a charming setting with magnificent views. Varied in style and size, the gardens are spread throughout the village. In addition, there will be walks in the Box Community Wood, a classic car display, a floral display in the Church, a children’s picture quiz, and Nailsworth Silver Band playing on the green.

Ice creams and cream teas will be on sale. Please note that parts of some gardens are steep, and such areas are unsuitable for visitors with restricted mobility. Proceeds will be split between a local food charity, local Ukrainian refugee support, and Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust.

Entrance £5.00 accompanied children free.

Bretforton Open Gardens
Bretforton, Worcestershire

A variety of garden styles can be found in the twelve gardens taking part that include cottage gardens, newly constructed gardens, the Village School gardens, the Allotments and the grounds of Bretforton Manor. We regret no dogs are allowed in the gardens.

Homemade refreshments and local plants will be on sale in the grounds of Bretforton Manor as well as a woodcraft display.

A Hedgehog Bus and a free car park will be operating during the event.

East Hendred Open Gardens
East Hendred

Lots of beautiful gardens, approximately 20 in number, small and large, will be open along with The Hendred Vineyard in aid of East Hendred Heritage Trust. Refreshments will be available at Hendred House, including cream teas, and there will be a display of Morgan cars in the Hendred House drive.

Entrance will be by programme at £5.00 - Free Parking.
