Kilver Court
Although it has only recently started opening to the public, the garden at Kilver Court dates back over 150 years. It was created by that paternalistic and philanthropic Victorian industrialist, Ernest Jardine.
After Jardine's day, the garden declined to the extent that, by the 1950's, it had become known as "The Wilderness". However, from that date it has grown into the verdant, four acre garden (with its magnificent railway arch backdrop) that you can see today.

The owner since 1996, Mr Roger Saul, is now opening the gardens from 10am to 4pm, all year round. For more details, please visit the Kilver Court website or see our two articles (from Country Life and from Amateur Gardening magazine), below.
Kilver court is near Shepton Mallet in Somerset.
